Client’s Windows NT network was at breaking
point, with no link between sites, staff were unproductive
and support was a never-ending task. With Windows NT
at the end of its product life cycle and more productive
methods of working required Wavehill provided an entire
WAN and systems upgrade.

VPN was created between sites enabling users to share
data.
All Windows NT Servers were replaced with Windows Server
2003 enabling the client to take advantage of new technologies
such as Shadow Copy for users to view older versions of
files. Windows WSUS Server was set-up to automatically
deploy Windows Updates to client PC’s.
The Exchange 5.5 Servers were upgraded and data migrated
to Exchange 2003. All Servers were linked as one organisation.
One global Active Directory was created for the entire
organisation, which shares all employees’ information
and provides a central point of enterprise administration.
Wavehill standardised all user PCs with Windows XP, and
utilised Group Policy to manage security. A corporate
Anti Virus solution was implemented across the WAN.

Clients systems are stable and productivity is high.
IT Support incidents were reduced by more than half.
Systems are secure and the client has the latest technology
to take them forward. The network costs are now reduced,
fixed and manageable.
